Yeah, #3 is the leak. I used to only get it after 3-4 hour play periods. Exiting and restarting always fixed it. Someone suggested once that you close the "rookie chat" and that stopped the problem. I have tested this some and it did seem to help...

Still pretty new myself, but I will say that honestly this is the FIRST character-focused game (I pretty much only play RPGs) I have ever played where I felt no need to reroll 50,000 times at the onset to get the right character through experiment...
